Coconut Coffee

Cuban coffee is characterized by its strong smoky flavor and it has been stated that café cubano is to the world of coffee what tequila  is to liquor; it is not to be sipped or savored, but shot! Traditionally,  café cubano is sweetened with demerara sugar, but the natural sweetness of coconut water makes additional sweeteners unnecessary. Serve hot.

Using freshly ground Cuban espresso beans, this drink can be  prepared espresso style or using regularly brewed strong coffee.  Regardless of brewing method, use coconut water in place of regular water and add a dash of cardamom.
